Broadening Access

Broadening Access is funded by a Title V grant designed to provide the Hispanic and low-income residents of our combined rural service areas:

  • A general education degree program that can serve as a stepping stone to a four-year degree; and
  • Education and training in a high-demand technical program that can lead to gainful employment in well-paying, cutting-edge technology fields.

The first program to be designed is the Associate of Arts Degree program. This program will provide all the "basics" for students so they can transfer easily to a four-year degree institution. The courses for this degree program will be converted to an online format over a two year period and will be offered by the Carlsbad and Alamogordo campuses.

Click here for photos of our meeting with Student Space. They are our "new" vendor to help us with student tracking, retention and more. We are very excited to be a part of their team, and include them on our team!
